I seldom see squirrels in my yard, maybe 1 a year. We have been seeing a 4 of them here lately, and captured this one with the Canon 70-300 IS USM lens, and did do some cropping on this one, and shot through a closed window.

Nice one, Tigs. I told you they were trouble. Don't see too many reds around here. I picked up a book about squirrels at Barnes & Noble and my husband quipped, "Know the enemy"? lol I found a new seed with red pepper flakes and chili powder in it. It's supposed to turn the squirrels off to the seed and the birds can't taste it.

Great squirrel closeup,Sandi. I thought you spray painted him with orange paint so he would be easier to spot at the bird feeder. I like Cindy's plan but I have a better idea. Make a bird feeder out of an old bug zapper and when the squirrels are eating plug it in. When they get zapped a few times they might stay out of the seed.

Thats how they work I tell ya! They form squirrel gangs and descend among your feeder till there is nothing left! It happened to me! Too bad they are so cute huh?? Very cute image and I love your title.
