Another tiger capture from the EFRC in Centerpoint, Indiana.

They told us of people who buy these exotic cats when they are still very young, and then realize that as they grow into their full majestic size, that they are not only harder to handle but expensive to feed as well. One would think that would be a no brainer!

I used the canon 450D with the canon 70-200 ef 70-200 f/4L USM lens with the AV setting set as low as it would go. Again this was shot though fencing.

Thank you for commenting.

Sure doesn't look under fed. Really beautiful markings too.
It also looks like you might have used too much lens too close, and produced distortion. That lens at 200mm is actually 320mm, which is great for making fencing disappear, but also produces fore-shortening. I don't just mean that particular lens. It applies to all telephoto lenses, and the longer the focal length, the greater the distortion. You get the exact opposite effect when using a wide-angle lens too close, and get a "Pinocchio" effect when shooting a close up head shot of anything.
Had the tiger been standing broadside to you, with just it's head turned, there wouldn't have been any noticeable distortion.

As long as that isn't a Detroit Tiger, he's OK in my book. LOL.. Exceptional shot, Sandi.

You have to love the stupidity of people. Lets see...if I have a baby tiger, it will stay small forever. Yeah right.

This is a fantastic capture of one of my favorite big cats.

Some people can never understand the big cats can't be tamed. They are born wild and its better to enjoy them in their natural habitat.
Beautiful animal, I love its expression
