I used the Sony HX 100 V for this shot, I only did a tad of gamma adj, to make the background just a bit more dark.

I like the way the sony gives a dark background on the flower captures, it makes it more dramatic I think.

I did a slight sharpen, gamma adj. and crop.

Thanks for the comments, I do appreciate the words of support and wonderful advice given.

I have decided to keep the Sony, I think it will make a nice second camera. I still do enjoy the canon, but I think this makes a nice addition to my equipment.

The clarity is excellent. The lighting perhaps a bit dark but all the same details are so very clearly visible.

Quite sharp and nicely detailed which can be hard with white petals. Pretty image with the orange and purple splashes off setting the white.

As I said before, it's your choice, Sandi, but I think that you've taken a wise decision. With this image and some previous post you have shown us that you've gotten quality for your money. I'm looking forward for some more nice images taken with your Sony 'toy', lol.
Regards, Cornelius.

Think you will be happy with the camera Tigz. I still have the Panasonic FZ35 as my backup but must admit, I have not used it since I got the Nikon. What a great shot you posted.
