Headed over to the local gardens in town, and was pleased to find these lovelies in bloom.
Used the canon T3i, and the canon 70-200mm f/4L USM lens.
I did crop and sharpen and do some contrast adj, but no saturation was done.Thank you in advance for your comments.

The lens and camera are a marriage made in heaven...You of course make up the eternal Triangle...Another piece of magic..R.

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
It came out of the camera with perfect color saturation. Excellent focus, and lighting too. What a beauty, Sandi. I see you are loving that new camera.

Very very good result, where good DOF needs. With your 70-200, by taking this shot you've done great job, Sandi. On my screen (I believe it has good color response) colors are very good.

Really nice detail here with vivid color. Who needs to saturate when the colors are so real. Great capture.

I love the deep rich red color and great detail as well. This is hard to do with red flowers.

I think you've made a proper choice by not keeping the other camera, but by buying a Canon T3i body and using your f/4L USM lens. As anyone can see by this splendid image: they perform a perfect match.
