I tried a different size macro tube for some shots today at the Calendar Gardens.
Equipment: canon t3i, canon 70-200mm f/4L USM lens, and 13mm macro extension tube.
I'm still in learning mode for the use of these tubes, but I'm happy with them so far, and much better in price over a lens.
Thank you for your comments, yay or nay on any of my images, that is I how I learn.

Sandi this is so stunning. The clarity and quality of the image kinda blows me away and the colours are so vivid. That soft plae yellow of the wings compliments the purple flowers so well. Stunning :D

The Midwest must be chocked full of Tiger Swallowtails, Sandi. My part of the world doesn't get many of this creatures, their cousins or their distant relatives; so it's nice to see a beautiful shot of this gift of nature. As usual all things technical look just about perfect. I especially like the composition with the swallowtail on the right. 8 out of 10. I'm gonna have to look up "macro extension tube" to see what you're talking about. It sure makes some fine images.
