I used the lens and converter combo for this shot, the macro tubes had not arrived yet, they were in the mail box when I arrived home from this shoot. :)

I always appreciate your comments, and value the friendships I have made on Caedes.

Tomorrow will be a long day at work, so might not be posting, it might be that way all week, but I'll be commenting.

Wow, this is beautifully captured, Sandi. Amazing detail & I like your composition. DOF is wonderful too. Lately the butterflies won't hold still for me, so I'm enjoying this capture very much. Very well done.

I can smell the sunlight on your skin. Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make!

I'm starting to see a disturbing pattern here. Yesterday you posted a swallowtail on what appears to be this very same plant. I'm suggesting that you are simply cloning in various butterflies, geese and tigers all sitting on this flower. Am I right?

Oh, didn't think so, but I bet you were scared when you thought you had been found out. No? I didn't think so. Anyway, you are very lucky to have so many beautiful butterflies in your area. I saw one yesterday and chased it around with my camera for over an hour until it flew in front of a truck on Highway 41. I thought about chasing the truck with the hopes of getting a butterfly shot but with gas at about $4 a gallon, I decided to let it go.

Another flawless shot.

Gorgeous, Sandi. But keep the tubes anyway. You'll need them to make a Ladybug that big :-)

This guy looks to be in perfect condition which tells me it hasn't been out in the world long enough to get that tattered worn look many of them have. You got him/her at the right time and you got him/her very nicely -
