Looks good to me. He may have fluttered his top wings a bit, but his lower wings and body are nicely in focus and the background colors and the pink flower really are a lovely setting for him. Nicely done, Tigs.
I have found at times it's difficult to get butterflies wings totally in focus, especially if there's any slight movement on their part. Lately I've been using a faster shutter speed (1600) while compensating for exposure & have had better success with the wings. Love the detail on the eyes / body plus the subtle pastel colors in the background are most pleasing. Beautiful work, Sandi.
Excellent, Tigs. You've made my day with this imperfect posting. While I've never taken a photo of a butterfly that's this good, it's refreshing to see that even the almighty Tigs has fallen from Mt. Olympus. I can't tell you just how difficult it is to write critiques on your postings. Perfect this and flawless that. Your tiny bit of motion blur is like a breath of fresh air.
Sandi It only looks like the tips of the wings are a little out of focus but that does not take away the fact that this picture is nothing short of stunning! I am loving your series so far! Paul
