A Monarch captured at the Calendar Gardens with the canon 70-300 IS USM lens, hand held.
Thanks for the comments, not sure what others think but I do kind of miss the VB, it gave me some sense of quality, and appreciation of my images, but I will take your word for it, and apprecaite the constructive advice.

Beautiful detail on this Monarch & am surely enjoying this capture as I haven't seen to many them lately. You always manage to get your DOF perfect too.

No butterflies around here to speak of Tigz, so I will enjoy you free postings. The VB was definitely a love/hate relationship. I had one of those one time and got divorced. :)

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
This is as good as always Sandi, great light, details, composition and colors. Only thing for me is that it is to small for my DT. Beautiful!
