One from the calendar gardens. I used the canon 70-300 IS USM only, and hand held.

Thank you in advance for commenting.

We were told today to plan on 12 hours the rest of the week, sometimes that changes, and I sure in the heck hope it does, 10 okay but 12? Yuk!!

The colors really jump out Tigz. The background really makes it look doubly good. You are the Queen Bee.

Hi, Sandi...

Lots of comments above about some soft focus. I'm not sure I see anything except for a little motion blur from the wings fluttering at a zillion times a second. The best thing to do if you have motion blur is to go to a gag store and toss a plastic bee on top of the flower. Bingo! No motion blur.

And what's the deal with working 12 hours a day. Just do like I did and retire. Now I sleep 12 hours a day.

Lol, plastic bee. An unusual flower and I suppose it's safer to approach the bee from bee-hind like this. Nice job.

Sandi, your image visualizes very well that it's lonely at the top, lol. Thanks for this very fine post.

I like to say that a workday of 12 hours is not normal, but think it won't help you. Know that you have my sympathy anyhow.

Regards, Cornelius.

Fantastic focus on the flower but the bee seems a bit out of focus, as if he decided to buzz at just the wrong minute! Fabulous bright colours. You must have sooooooooooooooooo much patience!

Great colors and detail - I agree with Homtail in the fact the bee must have flexed his wings just as you shot. Bad luck timing on his part. I also like all the pollen it's carrying under it's chest - pretty neat -
