This is a really neat spot I like to visit in Tri-Lakes Game refuge. You can park here and visit a lake that is on the right side of this image, and you can take a heck of hike by walking up along a trail that runs along it. You can also drive or walk through the dark tunnel like area in the trees, and end up at another lake.

Lovely colors and nicely balanced, Sandi. Isn't quite as sharp as it can be. It's fairly close. You can always tell if you over sharpen, as the "Jaggies" appear on fine detail, and you just Undo it and apply a bit less Sharpen until there's no rough edges (jaggies).

Cameras are like people--sometimes they lose focus.
Refering to both your image and narrative: seems to be an wonderful area indeed. The Fall tones in this one are splendid anyhow.
