This young swan was enjoying a early morning swim.

Canon T3i, canon 70-200mm f/4L USM lrnd with the kenko 1.4x converter, hand held.

Thank you for your comments, they are appreciated. I'm going to feed the cats, and dogs, and go chill out in my recliner for a bit, I'll be back in a little while to comment on your wonderful images, it's still so darn busy at work, but now I'm on vacation for a week!! Yippie!!

Excellent clarity and the still blue water makes this even better Sandi.

Hi, Sandi....

I just don't how you get such clarity and sharpness in shot after shot. The detail in the feathers are especially amazing, but the entire shot is darn near perfection.

Congrats on your vacation Tigz.

Mirror, mirror on the pond
Of that Tigz I am fond
Beautiful.

A lovely shot that would be better if not centered, Sandi. I'm guessing you took pains the get the concentric rings just right.
Unfortunately, the eyes are pulled right out of the picture in both right and left borders.
By cropping 25% from the top, and 50% in from the left, to the head and tail, it positions the swan to where he becomes the only subject, and the secondary subject rings now appear to be entering the picture from the Left, and enfolding the prime subject, creating impact that was nonexistent. Just toggle between two such images at full screen and the presentation will speak for itself.I'm going further with this as it's the single most common fault on this and most other photographic sites.
As nice as the whole setting and Swan is, the swan looks like it's anchored right where it sits/floats. A moving swan doesn't leave concentric rings. It leaves a broad wake.
If everyone who has the tendency to center any/every subject, downloads this image, creates and crops a copy, and then toggles between the two images, you can't miss the significant improvement and impact your photographs will have.
And don't be mad at me, Sandi. If you weren't producing such good work, I wouldn't have used your beautiful swan as a lecture prop

Beautiful, Tigs. The water is so blue. I saw some of these and wondered what they were until it hit me that they must be young swans. Nicely captured.

Nothing bad at all to say about this one. Great lighting but the colors are the star of the show.

Suppose it told you so, because it was that excited, lol.

Very fine, clear, post with excellent details, Sandi.
