Another autumn capture taken on pony farm road, which I never have seen any ponies, just goats. :)

Best viewed full screen.

I have now been using fill flash, but I don't think I did on these shots. So tried to enhance it a bit in my postwork.

Thanks for your comments, and helpful advice. It's still very busy at work, it was almost like I never took a week off! Lol!

Beautiful light and shadows. Do you have a fill flash function in your software program? Doesn't appear that you needed it here. Beauitful scene.

Another absolutely stunning fall capture. I didn't have a chance to take any since I was away during the height of our colours. You are an amazing photographer

Wonderful scene Sandi. Nice shot of it. Don't work too hard at work, they will suck the life out of you and then toss you out when you cannot do it anymore.

That really looks like a great place. The fall colors are beautiful in this, and I like the fence and road leading the eyes through the shot. Nice work, Sandi.

Your detail work is really spectacular on this posting. Clear blue skies with no noise is unheard of in these parts. The curve in the road combined with the pole in the foreground as well as your excellent use of light and dark make me think I can step right through my monitor into this shot. The bales of hay (do you call them bales when they're rolled?) would have been sufficient for a posting in their own right. I will never cease to be amazed by the detail and clarity on your shots. I'm yellow with envy. Oh, that's supposed to be green. Time to head to the doctor to get checked for jaundice.

I like to agree with the remark in your narrative about using a 'fill in flash' or not. It makes only sense when you have a 'strong' external flash gear and a rather close dark foreground.

Given those conditions, your image is a very fine one, Sandi.
If there's a desire to make the foreground somewhat brighter (not necessary in my humble opinion) you can try to achieve this with editing softwware. But I think I try to open an already open door by telling you a story that you might have heard many times before, lol.

Regards, Cornelius.

Very nice use of shades. Good work. I agree with Cornelius about fill flash. With these high contrast between fore and backgrounds HDR might be helpful.

In the thumbnail the shadows look really dark but full screen it is just right ! The sun and shade give extra depth to a beautiful autumn scene.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Looks like you had a polarizer filter when you took this-so rich in color.
