A scene from one of the many nature areas in the Tri-Lakes Wildlife Refuge, just a short drive from my home.
You can park your car, and take this walk which separates the two lakes, and in the background where the trees are ,there are trails you can follow, which I have done once, but should go back in the woods again, and explore, maybe next year.
Only authorized vehicles are allowed off the beaten path.Thanks for commenting, I do appreciate it.

Great diagonal lines in the clouds and the rows of trees. The colors are excellent and the image well handled all around. A really fine image, Tigs.

it looks good in the vertical format Tigz. It makes the walk seem longer. The foliage is alive with the colors. A true fall dandy.

Beautiful colours and perspective. I wonder where it goes! Sometimes it would be lovely to get weather such as yours her in England. At the moment a months worth of rain is trying to fall in about two days. Is very wet indeed!

I understand the need for the vertical view. But I feel like I'm being robbed of the beauty on the sides that aren't being shown. Aw, what the hell. You just can't please everyone. Doug is always telling me to try new perspectives. I don't see his comments here; so I'll say that this beautiful shot might have been improved if you had dropped down on one knee, provided more of this glorious path and a little less sky.
