The male cardinal setting in the lilac bush, which is where the feeders are set up.
Captured with the canon 70-200mm f4/L lens,and the kenko DGX 1.4x converter, and had the lens almost touching the glass of the closed window, with the screen up.
I will try getting some with the window open, but they spook so easily, so that is why I started shooting through the closed window, plus I stay warmer that way! I'm trying to come up with something different at the feeders, and the presentation.

Now what are the odds we'd post the same bird on the same day? lol Great shot, Tigs. They even have different characteristics though they are both red cardinals. An extender is the next thing on my 'to buy' list.(someday)

He's a handsome one, Sandi. I notice a little gray in the feathers. Does that mean anything? Just curious. Maybe an older bird? I like that shadow of the twig on the side of him too. Beautiful color a detail in this shot. Excellent, Sandi.
