Hey! Bird #9 flew the coup! What's up with that? LOL. This is a beautiful foofy in it's place, though. I love the colors and the lighting. Well done, Sandi.
I will tell you a secret, dear SAS. The hibiscus in Polish is 'malwa' !!! Lovely, indeed. Cannot wait for them any minute longer !!! gggrrr My weekend will be a horror story with myself as a leading lady ... dripping blood and sweat [plus tears] LOL This is how I will pay for tonight's prolonged stay on Caedes. But tonight was quite special until now: 1. quarrel [most fierce] with SALEE [Cindy] about Pat's flower ... [sic!] - LOL 2. catching up with a few images from my friends Yours SAM
Which segues to the caveats part.. that being, to my eyes and mind ... just a tad too much negative space (kind of, sort of) in the right and lower right.
The one dominant flower, the hibiscus, seemed to get lost a lil' bit on the note of it's placement within frame/composition.
The crop performed is probably tight, however, and as much as I like the touch of blue in the upper left (which you could Burn down, using just that.. the Burn tool) ... was a slight distraction.
Anyways, just some creative food for thought in the above for you.
The Hibiscus is one of my favourite flowers, and this is a lovely image of this one. I like the way the sunlight plays on some of the leaves and petals. Well done! Ann
The shadows and lighting really add to the capture of this lovely flower...was going to mention that bit of blue flower in the top corner is a tad distracting but I see Les beat me to it with his version.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Sandi - The dappled sunlight and varied shades of green surrounding this hibiscus makes a very fine foofy posting - especially on a cold winter day! Thad
