If you follow this path, you can enjoy some river scenes like this, and then the path takes you to the Calendar gardens.

I have posted some info of this lovely place before, but would like to again, and make this a tribute.

This property was donated to the Elkhart county parks, by Beth Defries after her husbands passing some years ago. The Calendar gardens is a work in progress for the past 5 years that I know of. The funding to maintain this wonderful place comes from a trust that Beth Defries set up, and is maintained by two people, the gentleman that designed it, Jon Cutrell, and also Pam Petersen.

I just found out this week from Pam, that Beth Defries passed away this past Dec. at the age of 90.

This is my dedication to a lovely lady, who I had the pleasure of meeting on several occasions.

Very nice composition and colours - The yellow/brown trees around the still water give this image a sense of calmness. God job Sandi and a good tribute.

Perfect desktop.

A lovely tribute to the gardens' founder.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Beautiful image Sandi - looks like it could be a painting because the colors are so rich with depth.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Beth. At least she got to see her gardens become a reality Tigz. She was lucky to have met you and you her.
Lovely shot and did you watch for mushrooms?
