I'm not sure what this flower is, but the color, and curves sure caught the camera's attention.

Have a good Friday, and thank you for the comments.

I believe it is Antonio's birthday so a big birthday wish to a talented friend.

You've captured a great pose of this beautiful flower, Sandi. Perfect DOF and lighting.

Sandi - This colorful tulip, nearing the end of its bloom, until next year, looks beautiful in the sunlight. The curved lines of the 'failing' petals are excellent. Great DOF to focus the eye on the flower. Happy Birthday, Antonio! Thad

You caught great texture and shine in these ageing petals Sandi - there is beauty in age :)
(It seems to have passed me by but then I am not a flower lol)
Happy Birthday to Antonia and Happy Weekend to all.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

When my wife says it's a tulip, think we have to take this for granted, Sandi. Hope you and other caedes-friends will agree with me, lol.
Very nice and well taken F² image!

This tulip species is called 'Red Impression' and is derived from the tulip species 'Fosteriana' and 'Darwin'.

Like others have said this is a tulip in its last stages. Nice colours and lighting on this Sandi.

You'd be a Drama Queen to, if you had a tongue that kept splitting your upper lip, like that one ;-)

Sorry, Sandi. The Devil made me do it.

Definitely a tulip - even though it's almost done you've brought out the beauty at this stage as well.
