This is the view from the parking lot, as you take the main entrance to the gardens.

Best viewed full screen.

On the left side you can see the signs that say calendar/homestead gardens, homestead gardens has a neat brick home with gardens around it, that you are allowed to walk through as well,(even though there is a family that lives there, he is a member of the Dept. of Natural Resources.

That is the home that Beth Defries the financial backer lived for many years with her husband, till after his passing.

If you go the opposite way from the parking lot you will be able to take the river walk trail, that will also take you to this wonderful gardens.

Thank you for your comments.

If I hadn't seen already that much wonderful photographs from you taken in the Calendar Gardens, probably I would have said that the entry is very promising for what the gardens have to offer us, Sandi.

Must say however that this image of the entry is a lovely one. Good to give us even a better impression of the gardens than we already had!

Regards, Cornelius.

How nice to see a view of the place you have captured such beauty from.
The shadows add a lot to this scene.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
