This frog, had spotted me and the 40D, took a leap, and then just sat there, and checked out the brick wall in front him.

Today I was driving around a bit, looking for photo opts. and stopped at the river where the swans hang out.

I noticed this motor home stopped in the shade, and this gentleman kept walking to the road, and back. So as I was pulling out of the the public landing parking area, I asked him if everything was okay.

He told me that they had pulled in there to check out the pretty roadside stop, and when they were ready to leave their motor home would not start, that happened yesterday, and since it was the 4th, they waited it out till today, and they had help coming, we are under drought conditions, and it was 102 yesterday, with the same today. I also found out they are from Christchurch, New Zealand, and had heard of the many lakes in this area, and were here for that reason. I mentioned the Tri-lakes wildlife refuge, and that was where they were headed next.

I just thought it was so neat to be able to talk to someone, from an area where I have some good online friends. It is too bad that we are having such hot, and humid weather, everything is drying up, and not too scenic.

My editing was done with Topaz adjust 5, thanks for commenting.

I thought maybe you kissed the frog and he turned into a man driving a motor home Tigz. :)
What a great shot and such an interesting story. Funny what we learn if we take the time to talk to someone.

Great narrative, Sandi.

Your image is great as well. Thought at first sight that the frog was listening to you, while you were reading a fairy tale to it. Perhaps fairy tales are true indeed. Would have known it for sure by giving it a kiss, lol.

Regards, Cornelius.

The answer to your question is simple Sandi - It is a prince in the shape of a frog waiting to be kissed. You didn't kiss him but made him look so sharp and clear and - hmm - beautiful with your new camera.

It looks to me that there is a bug at the very top of the frame on the wall, and the frog is about to get it with it's tongue...like they normally do. This is an absolutely gorgeous shot again, Sandi. You, the 40D, and Topaz seem to make a great trio!

What a great clear photo of this little frog. Very well done Sandi.
We only get rain here this summer. If I could I would trade some of it for some sunshine from your part of the world.

Nice to know you were friendly to my neighbours from just up the road Sandi!

I think this photo of the frog is exceptional. He appears to be posing especially for you.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
