After some very helpful advice, I decided to remove my first posting, and reworked it. I took the sharpening down, and cropped alot of the sky out. It is very easy to overwork an image, and I need to remember that. I will continue to play around in Topaz, thank you- for all of the help.

Beautiful bright green below and a great looking sky above. A lovely scene well captured and edited Sandi.

I have a tendency to leave in too much sky as well Tigz. I like both versions. Overdoing is learning.

Good job, Sandi. I think we all sometimes overwork and image. The trick is to know when it's enough and that's not always easy. That's why we post them here for others to see what we could or might not have seen.

Lovely work, Sandi.
My favorite part is still the trees outlining the image.

Very moody looking sky so I don't mind a lot of it - nice work on this version.

---is very easy to overwork an image---

I like to agree with you Sandi. Topaz plug-ins or similar ones have the danger that an image is easily overworked. I didn't see the previuos one, but this shows that you have found the proper balance.

Very good post.

So perfect Sandi! I have a tendency to go overboard too with post work and don't know when to stop!...lol...The sharpness is just perfect now and the scene actually looks fuller!!!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

This looks wonderful, and the colours are lovely too. I too sometimes leave in too much sky or other negative area's, but then I try and remember the two-thirds rule when I can. But the best thing is to be happy with it yourself, as sometimes rules are to be broken!
