Another capture of the beautiful butterfly shot with the canon 40D.Sorry about the distracting flower on the left, but it was too hard to clone out, and make it look right.

Thank you for commenting, and I hope you all have a pleasant day.

I like the color and detail of this beautiful Swallowtail image Sandi. Wish I could get one to land long enough to focus on it..

A graceful and elegant capture Sandi. So very well done. At a recent rose show, I drew up guidelines for a photo submittal that depicted the grace and elegance of the rose. The judges were totally baffled by it and did not know what to do. The photo they chose had aphids all over the rose and holes in the petals and foliage. I do not understand how anyone can miss something like true grace and elegance in a photo. This is a top notch example of elegance and grace... Love it!

Nothing wrong with that out of focus plant, Sandi. The main leaves draw you right to the subject. Maybe they could be darkened a bit, but not much.

I don't find the small plant distracting at all - the excellent focus and clarity is on the butterfly.

Beautiful shot, Sandi.
I don't find that blurred out flower distracting.
My eye was immediately drawn to the butterfly.

It is like they fly in for a foto shoot with you Tigz and then off to other sites. You have them under your spell.
Beautiful.

Sandi, that's where bokeh is for, lol.

Excellent post again though.
