Another capture of some of the swans that were hanging out at the public access this past summer.

I tried to bring out the beauty of the wings, using topaz but I know the head is a bit dark. Maybe I should have experimented a little more. :)

Thank you for commenting.

I think you succeeded and in full view the head is not too dark - good results with your experiment.

What an enormous wingspan they have!
Lovely clarity and the detail in the water is nice as well.
He looks not quite fully fledged yet

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I don't think the dark coloring detracts from the image at all, considering this is a juvenile swan, in between it's "ugly duckling" phase and adulthood. Actually it's one of the more unique swan photos I've seen here at Caedes, for that reason and because he's stretching his(?) wings, so I think you should be happy with it. Capturing all three in various poses and attitudes as well as placing them off-center works quite well, so, nice work, Sandi.

Well, I like it the way it is, they are beautiful. Now is the darker one a younger swan?
