Christmas Village

My mom's neighbor Hobart is 80 something years young, and still loves to decorate. This is just a small part of the Christmas village. It has working trains, and some kind of cable car and takes up almost 3 sides of this room.

He also fully decorates the outside of their home, which includes getting up on the roof, except for one side of the house he did it all himself.

I found this very hard to shoot, and did not do so well with the outside shots.

Just wanted to share his hard work, and love with you, thanks for commenting.

Love seeing these this time of year. Fine capture here too! We have a guy here that is an assistant manager of a hardware store and he sets up such a village for all the public to come see at Christmas. He asks for a can of food for the local food bank as admission. Pretty special.

He must be a man of passion. What a precision and arrangement. And you paid tribute to your mom's neighbor so nicely. Good luck with the outside capture!

I can see the difficulties in taking a shot like this, Sandi but you did excelent on getting the details and the tiny lights to stand out. If it was me, I'd leave this beautiful scene up year-round.
