They sure don't look very dangerous when they're snoozing in the sun, but I still wouldn't get too close! A great shot of this awesome turtle Sandi. Who wouldn't want to take a little 'turtle nap' in the sun in such lovely surroundings?!
You got a good capture there Sandi. Never seen one all sprawled out like this fellow. They usually are in a hurry to get away. My uncle had quite a problem with these fellows in his catfish pond. They were even bigger than this guy. Stuck a stick in one of the turtles mouth and it snapped right in two...whew. That is a good post.
