So is he off to help pick the next pontiff or is he off to spring training? Good lighting in this scene Sandi. Nice composition and clarity in the photo, and a lovely capture of the cardinal.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Although on the small side, this is about as perfect a bird photo as I've ever seen on Caedes. The light is excellent; nothing is washed out. The contrast is spot on; even small details in the feathers in shadow are clearly seen. The composition follows the rule of thirds in that the eye is drawn to the head of the bird, in the upper one third of the image. The colors are strong yet natural, and the bokeh is perfectly balanced between the bird, branches, and background. The focus is good but not tack sharp, which I put down to the smaller-than-normal size of the photo. On a scale of one to ten, covering the technical mechanics and creative presentation of photography, I would give this effort a 9. A beautiful piece, Sandi.
