Cat camp _This beautiful tiger is Simba, she was part of a breeding effort but when her stripes were not black, they did not want her, so EFRC came to her rescue.
I'm not sure of the details of her story. But the breeders cast them off if they don't think they can bring in the money! It's called greed, that then turns to neglect.
The stories are different with each cat, but luckily EFRC learns about their plight, and rescue is on the way to give these cats a safe place where they will be cared for.
I want to say to that they have never had a incident in the 20 + years of being in service to these big felines.

Great capture and this cat does not seem to like it shot being taken.what a sad story this is one stunning looking creature and I love the colour of this cat.

She is beautiful, Sandi . It is sad how humans decide who is to be culled and who isn't .
There are several dog breeds where SOME breeders do the same even worse at times ... killing them.
They don't want "people "to know that this "misfit"came from their dog . It is cruel and disgusting. Excellent shot of this beautiful girl, so glad she is safe.

They had some white tigers at the Cincinnati Zoo years ago. They were beautiful, but the stripes WERE black. This one is sill handsome to me. Excellent shot, Sandi.

Looks as if you captured him as he was beginning to make some sound. Whatever mood it has a striking color. Why would anyone cast him away. But I think they should not have had him in the first place because these creatures deserve to remain wild. Good focus and timing Sandi.

It really makes me so angry when I hear about breeders casting off imperfect animals! It happens with the big cats and with wolves, and domestic dogs too. Our little purebred Maltese dog was bred until she was 8 years old, then cast off. Thank God we rescued her. This is a beautiful shot of a beautiful tiger...

That is such a sad story at the start but a super ending. She's gorgeous and I really like those brown strips, looks like she has blue eyes also.
