Cat Camp_ This big cat is called a liger, and is a cross between a lion, and tiger. The guide explained that since tigers and lions have different traits that is not a normal healthy outcome.

The people that work here are either paid or volunteer their time, and I will say they work hard! They are there in all kinds of weather, from one extreme to another, but always give it their all.

I used photofiltre studio, and topaz adjust 5 to get the finished look.

Thank you for commenting.

It is a beautiful cat and your work on it made it good. The position you caught it in is a handsome profile. I wish people would leave nature alone. There has been a lot of damage because of greed and whatever else. Everyone and everything suffers for it. Yet you brought some beauty into the mix.

I didn't know about these animals, or I may have forgotten. This one is beautiful, and you did a good job with the shot. I too love this angle, and the topaz work is super. Well done, Sandi.

Beautiful creature, Sandi. I am with Frank on this we need to leave these animals alone. Mother Nature cares for her own . When we become involved we screw up the natural cycle. We have a herd of Deer around here 20-25 . Some people are all upset and worried about the damage they will do to the crops including the hay fields which is a concern. HOWEVER these are the same people who hunted our coyote population last year . So with the coyote population more than cut in half we now have a deer issue ....man made of course .
Great post !

Beautiful markings on this mix Sandi - I see lion in the head but of course tiger stripes in the coat.

This is such a gorgeous cat Sandi! I've never seen a Liger before. It's so great that there are so many people willing to volunteer to help these lovely cats. A wonderful shot my friend!

He looks a proud beast - and this is a great capture Sandi. I know it is in a safe place and is cared for with devotion but it is still rather sad to see the wire fence behind himm.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
