This Robin was just bobb'n along at the Calendar garden. I just stepped slowly, and managed to get pretty close.

Canon 40D, canon 70-300 IS USM lens, and image was cropped, and ran though the topaz adjust 5 program.

It's a beautiful morning in my part of the world, and I hope it is in yours as well.

Thank you for the views, and comments.

Lovely sharp detail in this superb capture and great composition.I love the colours that you captured in this photo and you took the shot just at the right time with it's head lifted up.

Definitely a sure sign of Spring! A wonderful shot Sandi! I think it is finally Spring in Wisconsin, but then again it's only been two days, so I can't be sure yet.

The composition is right on. The colors are perfect. Wonderful detail on the robin (especially the highlight in his eye) and splendidly blurred background.

So how often does the red, red robin come bob, bob, bobbin' along...sweet song?

I really like the composition here. I had hoped to capture a robin for the contest but it didn't happen. Nice shot.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

A good thing you didn't slink along the ground to get closer or it might have mistaken you for a worm. A good close up on the robin Sandi. A nice DoF in the photo and lovely colours in the scene.

They fly off too soon. I have tried and failed a few times already. Nice shot with good lighting Sandi.
