A sparrow and a female cardinal sharing space at the feeder.

This was pretty dark to begin with so tried some different things to lighten it up, also it was shot through a closed window. The lighting was different on either side of the feeder so the cardinal was too dark.

I'm still dealing with internet issues so hopefully tomorrow the tech can figure out the problem.

Thank you for the comments.

I think you did very well with a tricky lighting situation Sandi - both birds are readily identifiable - I'm surprised the sparrow stayed however with a cardinal around.

You did well with your processing. The birds are nicely lit and clearly focused. Catching birds is a bit tricky if you don't have something to entice them and a place that seems somewhat safe so it was good to get the shot through the window. Nice going Sandi. I sympathize with your internet issue.

The result is quite good Sandi. Good clarity and details here and you can't do much about one side being darker.

Whatever you did, it came out really well... I know from experience how difficult it is shooting through a window, and then the birds are always moving, so the clarity and lighting here are well done...

You did fine under the circumstances. Topaz Lens Effects would balance that lighting easily in a couple seconds.

The background and frame are perfect. The bird on the left seems slightly overexposed. I don't do it, but can't you take multiple shots and combine them? I think you have PhotoShop and I am always hearing about how you can do practically anything in PhotoShop.

Perfectly focused, no noise, splendid shot.

Nice. You did a good job with the difficult lighting situation, Sandi. After Joanie's comment about the confessional, I'll never look at my feeders the same again, LOL!

You can always try the fake the exposure trick. Edit the photo so lighting is good on the sparrow and then edit a second version so the lighting is good on the cardinal. Then combine the two using HDR software for a happy medium of the two.

Nice composition of the scene and a good close up on the feeder and birds. Nice details and focus in the photo.
