You did a fine job Sandi. The silky silvery sheen of the petals is beautiful and I like the way the front petal is coyly hiding he centre of the flower :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
For only using PhotoFiltre and Topaz Adjust 5, this is spectacular. I wish I could watch you at work to see what your experimentation process is like. Stunning work. The textures on the flower petals are creamy like fabric. Nice use of B/W in a flower shot.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
At my own opinion, using B&W is not very interesting when you capture a flower. Even if you caught beautiful textures, I think that the color is the most important attribute for this kind of subject. Also, I think that centering the flower is a little bit too classical. Hope it helps...
