I stopped by a local lake the other day, and was pleased to see this Heron walking along the waters edge.

They are such big, beautiful birds and you've captured this one so well Sandi! They are pretty hard to sneak up on!

The last time I saw a heron it was roosting up a tree and nowhere near open water. Clearly mine had not read the owner's manual.
