Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
It's a lovely flower and color, but that extended stalk takes too much away from it. Cropping down to just above the big petal, and where the stalk is bare, fills your vertical format. You'd have a tiny bit of stalk to clone over just above the tiny green pod.

From the title I thought I might be seeing some Christmas holly. I was pleasantly surprised to see this unrecognizable flower. I seriously doubt that there are any of these around here. As always, your posting is fabulous.
