This is not perfect in sharpness or clarity, but I took this shot through storm door glass, and also a screen door. He was so close to the door there was no way I would have got a shot otherwise, he would have headed for the nearby tree. :)

I was able to get more detail using topaz adjust 5, and did extra sharpening as well.

I thought it was still worth sharing, thank you for commenting.

Considering that this was taken through the glass it is quite good Sandi. He is very cute indeed.

Considering the handicaps you've overcome in taking this image I think it's great. Your subject is very photogenic.

Sandi, I'd you did an excellent job of taking the capture through a window & your post-editing paid off. I like the detail on the squirrel.

I was at the deer park a couple of days ago, glanced across the street, & spotted a black squirrel. It quickly ran up a tree & was out of sight before I had a chance to get a photo. Squirrels can be spooked so easily.

Wonderful capture Sandi ... glad you decided to post.

I love the black ones I see over at my Mom's - ours are only grey. Excellent work considering your obstacles.

He wanted to be shot Tigz, and you obliged him. With a camera of course.
Kudos on the extra work.

Our tree squirrels are gray here, Tigs. You see...I live in the early 1950's in a very exclusive neighborhood; so these tree squirrels simply would not be allowed in these parts for decades.

When ever I tell people that there are black squirrels they look at me as though Ive gone mad, but here's proof they exist. I saw a TV programme a few years ago saying that there was a colony in a wood somewhere here in England, but for the life of me cant remember exactly where. Nice to know they are also found in other parts of the world. Well done for capturing this little chap!

Move the tree further away and then he will have no place to run to for safety or lay out a larger lunch so he sticks around to finish it. Nice work Sandi.
