This is from my visit to the dahlia trial gardens at Bonneyville Mills Park, in Bristol, Indiana.
I tried a bit more sharpening on the center part of the flower, but decided against that.

In very bright sun like that it's hard not to lose a little detail and I've found sharpening is not the answer. You also might reduce the brightness level which should give you more color in the petals. This is a very beautiful dahlia anyway you present it.

Nice composition and a lovely pink Sandi. My experience is that you can get the best focus and colour when there is no sun shining at all but the light must of course be bright enough.

A beauty of a mostly pink flower Sandi. It is a delicate thing messing with the adjustments to your image. A little too much here sometimes cause a problem over there and then you are back where you started from. It is a nice flower just the same and it looks like it's holding a leaf fan in front of its petal trying to be coy.
