I have been to this spot in the Tri-Lakes game preserve many times, and have walked in to those woods.

Some of you will remember my story of Bella .

You can read the her story by following the link. The parking lot where I first spotted her is behind us in this picture, when I returned with the food after the store run, and did not see her, I started walking in this direction, and calling kitty, kitty.

Just before that opening to the woods is where I finally found her, and after petting her, I was able to get her to walk back to the parking lot where I fed her, and made that decision to give her a new home, if she would not freak out from the car ride.

She has now gained over two pounds, and every night we have some play time, before she curls up next to my head for the night.

I wanted to give you some idea of the environment I found her in, beautiful yes, but not a good place for a domestic cat. I'm surprised I was able to find her again after that store run for food.

I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving, has a wonderful day tomorrow, my daughter is fixing a ham dinner for mom, and I.

Thank you for commenting.

Due to my forced absence from Caedes, I didn't know the story of Bella Ann, but thanks to the, by you provided link, I understand this following up story completely now. A wonderful one, Sandi.

In Holland we have Thanksgiving Day on another day, and it's celebrated only by Christian people. In spite of this, I like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and on this occasion, I like to use the opportunity to say 'Thanks' for your very fine posting!

Regards, Cornelius.

I remember Bella's story ... how you opened your home and heart to her. Animals seem to enter our lives when we need them as much as they need us . Beautiful shot , love that blue sky with the greens. Happy Thanksgiving, Sandi .

What a warm and happy story about Bella. The name translates to BEAUTIFUL in Italian, just like your photo!

I remember how you gave the poor kitten a home Sandi. That was very kind of you. She must have been just discarded by someone at this place. Happy Thanksgiving for you and your family.

I wish all the stories have such happy endings - this is my Thanksgiving wish to the world. Do not wonder how come that you found the kitty after shopping. She was meant for you. Some things just happen if one only lets them to. No more wisdom from me for the moment LOL All the best to you and your family - all of it including all members on two or four legs or with wings even.

I agree with SAM - you were meant to have Bella otherwise she wouldn't have been there when you came back from the store. I firmly believe that sometimes animals pick us - I know my late Trixie did just that at the shelter. A blessed and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Sandi.

Glad to hear that there's a happy ending to Bella's story. It's interesting that she sleeps next to your head as our Molly uses Mrs b's head as a pillow every night. A beautiful image and a happy ending, what more could we want?

It is a beautiful place Sandi and your picture has made it more wonderful. I am glad you found the kitty and now have a fast friend. As beautiful as these surroundings are they are not what a domestic cat needs. I understand all too well how those animals can pull on your heart. We now have at least a fifth generation of the stray we invited in one day of which I have posted on occasion. Matter of fact I think I will post another one.

It is a lovely image of this lonely place and it makes Bella's story all the more real. So glad she is doing well. She is lucky to have such a good home. Her prospects would not have been good left to fend for herself.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Yes, it definitely is a gorgeous scene and capture, but it isn't any place for a kitty at all. So happy to hear she's doing so great. Hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving girlfriend
