Doug (snapshooter87) did a couple of reworks of this image and I like the results, and want to share them with you. I will post the other one at a little later.

For those of you dealing with the terrible weather, stay safe, and warm. Yesterday I sat for 40 minutes waiting for removal of a van, that had collided with a semi on US 6.I'm staying put today! Blowing snow can make for tricky driving conditions, just slowing down even a few mph is better than a wreck. Also remember the outside animals during the extreme cold temps.

Thank you for commenting, and have a nice day.

This is brilliant Sandi...the monotones really emphasize the details!....Nice one!

Agree about taking care in the bad weather!...we have yet to get snow...but it 'is' coming....soon!

What a difference Sandi. Normally we have in the wintertime snow and frost as well, but up till now I haven't seen any snowflake.
In the place where I live the temperature has become somewhat colder now but it's still 6°C (42.8°F). So, no wintry images from me this time, but I don't know whether this is bad or not.

Thanks for this splendid rework!

Regards, stay safe and warm, Cornelius.

This is a very different take on this image but very intriguing too - I think it works well. I was out yesterday morning in 40+mph winds and snow - picked up a couple of prescriptions and groceries and we headed home. Probably won't emerge until Thursday now - what a winter! I'm so grateful I'm retired and not commuting to downtown Chicago!

Doug has done a good job with your original Sandi. We had today -10°C (14°F) but that is no comparison to what you have. The danger here is that it may rain and then the road becomes a skating track.

Doug has done some skillful work here and I applaud him for it but I'm sorry but I don't think it adds anything to your wonderful image.

A nice rework of a fabulous image, Sandi. If its all the same to you I will be leaving the outside animals outside. The last time I let them in the beavers whittled down the dining room set and the bear still hasn't left the den. Which wouldn't be too bad except he is a little hard of hearing and insists on blasting the TV.
