I'm getting the canon ready to use tomorrow for my trip, and decided it was time to upload the pics. that were taken over the winter. For whatever reason, I just did not upload them onto the puter. I don't have much luck with the winter shots, but I think the canon came through pretty good, after I finally took the time to view them on the laptop.

This shot was very difficult, I took this from the living room, it was shot through glass and across a screened in porch, so through glass, and fine screen.

I used perfect effects to brush in some highlight, and then ran it through smart photo editor, and finally though pure image noise removal.

Sorry for the small size, but this took a real heavy crop, and I did not like the quality in a larger size.

Two from me in a day is rare these days, but I hope you like it, but of course I want you to be honest with your reviews.

I know it's not the best bird post but I wanted to see what I could do with it considering the difficult shooting conditions.

Thank you for commenting, and be prepared from some pictures with the snowy background, just as we are getting ready for nicer weather. Lol!

I can say that for a photo under such conditions it is good. The clarity is sharp around the beak. Through glass I get some good shots but in your case that screen obscures somewhat I suppose Sandi.

I love this photo and all though it as a soft blur which looks stunning it also as great detail in the bird still, plus lovely warm looking colours too.Spot on composition as well my good friend, well done and have a great day out.

The soft blur does work and I'm sure the screen was a real obstacle as I know you've had great shots through the glass. I think you did a very good job with difficult conditions.

So you have shot through a couple of filters..How you managed to fit a window and a screened porch onto your canon is anyones guess..Nice soft effect..R.

It does have a Norton feel to it Tigz.
The bokeh works well.
I suspect Woody feels a little woozy after all that work.

I think you did a good job on this , Sandi .
We have a pair of them that have come to a platform feeder on one of the trees . I have yet to get a full image of them . They come in take peanuts and corn and they are gone . I am going to try oranges this week . All I want is a image of them how hard can that be .... lol
Great work on this hard to catch guy .

Excellent for what you had to go through to get the shot to this point Sandi. You still managed to get a glint in the eye of the birdy.

yeah kinda the orton dreamy effect is nice. i been down this route & shot though both..wait no that was with a b.b gun when i was a kid..lol all kidding aside, i tryed this before & never got the results you achieve. cant see a sign of the screen... considering the the things you had going against you, job well done i think

I really like this softened look Sandi...it has something of the look of a painting on glass or pottery...great editing.

Amazing how you shot through glass and screening and still came out with a beautiful image. The post work really make this a work of art Sandi.

My honest opinion, Sandi, is that it has an artistic look, and similar to an orton effect on it. I like it.
