I thought I would enter this into the challenge, I know Lyn is always looking for submissions.

I kind of did a miss-spell, but got it corrected. :)

For anyone that was in the path of the storms last night, I hope all is okay. We came through them okay here.

Thank you for commenting.

My idea would be narcissus by all means, but I will wait till the expert comes to give his opinion...:)
Great effect, dear SAS.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Referring to SAM's comment above, I like to add this information:

In the first place I don't pretend that I'm an expert.
What I know about flowers, I've learned from my dear late wife. At the end of the wintertime I often said jokingly to her: "The look in your eyes is capable to draw the crocus flowers out of the still frozen soil."

'Narcissus' is the scientific name, identifying the genus of this group of plants. It is not a common name, although some use it as such.
'Daffodil' is used as a collective name for all these plants, but is more often used to describe the larger flowered types.
The name 'Jonquil' sometimes is used as well, but actually only applies to the very small subgroup 'Narcissus jonquilla' and related hybrids. 'Jonquilla' have several small flowers on each stem with flat petals.

But now I have to be careful with my further comment, lol:

You've provided us with an excellent B&W image of some daffodils/narcissus' Sandi. The B&W balance is perfectly chosen so that this posting exudes a special charm. A very good entry for the challenge. Well done.

Regards, Cornelius.

The daffodil shines brightly in this lighting and looks so beautiful even in B/W Sandi.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
