This was taken the same day as my post of the swan fly over I posted the other day. After seeing them I decided I better go to the lake and check it out. There were many of them, and they were close to the shoreline. I was dealing with the sun as it was mid afternoon when I took this one.

Used the canon 70/200 lens for this capture.

The light hitting the water here and there adds to the beauty of this swan Sandi. Way to go!

You have done very well against the light Sandi. The water and the swan look very nice in this lighting.

Beautiful looking photography and I love the light dancing on the ripples of the lake ,plus you get the feel of a breeze under the swans wings as it is sailing along.Grear colours and very good composition to Sandi.

The swan looks deep in thought or maybe it is just deep water.
Excellent camera work as always, Tigz.

The lighting actually works beautifully Sandi - well captured in difficult conditions.

Perfect 'against the light shot' Sandi. Although the lighting conditions were difficult, I can't detect any loss of detail.

Very well done.

This is such a charming view of the gentle swan seen from his/her rear part which looks most charming indeed - particularly with this lighting !

Love the small white glimpses of sunlight upon the blue water Tigz, while the exposed plant stems gives the image an undisturbed feel.
I only wish we could enjoy weather like this in the UK.

You chose the best over all exposure for the conditions. It gives the water a very nice color and detail also the swan's feathers are beautifully detailed . I really like your composition. Very nice sort of dreamy image Sandy.
