Recently I made my yearly trip to Bonneyville Mill County Park, to check out the Dahlia trial garden. This lovely lady caught my attention.
Posting my Tuesday post a little early, but that depends on what time zone your in. :)
Used the 70-300 at 115mm focal length, F-stop f/8, AV mode, using flash fill. Thank you in advance for your comments.

Lovely dahlia with its dark red colour and lighting Sandi. I know that is a difficult colour to photograph but you have got it perfectly here.

another flower i have never seen before. i think im noticing the effect the fill has now..its nice! i love the fact you put your setting to the camera posted up there. i can figure things out alot better for when i shot as well. thanks for the post & infor

It is real easy to make everything look flat and lifeless with flash but that is not the case with this image Sandi. Your camera must be very intuitive as to how much power to give the flash so as to not blow things out. The colors are enhanced and rich. The scarlet is as good as it gets. The details are just wonderful. You get a bravo from me.

By the way, have you ever wondered how to spell the color gray? Is it "grey" or is it"gray?" Well I googled it and found out they are both correct! "Gray" is usually used in America and "Grey" is normally used in England. Amazing.
