This is one of many masks that belonged to my mom, and are hanging on a wall here in one of the rooms in the house.

She had them for a long time, and I find them so neat, and interesting, that I plan on leaving them on the wall.

.

Thanks for the comments.

Today is the Carnival Monday Sandi. Here on TV there were many with masks of all kinds in the processions. This is a beautiful mask. You should keep it.

At first glance, I thought this was the head of a ceramic doll of some kind. You did a beautiful job with the shot, Sandi. Very interesting.

This is a great shot for Madri Gras time Sandi - it reminds me of all the masks and decorations for the season.

I thought that it was either a head of porcelain of a female clowns puppet or a mask for carnival/Mardi Grass. It is, by the look of naivety, a beautiful art object, perfectly captured! Well done my friend.

It appears to be looking at the Heavens, Tigz. I suspect it knows someone there.
I would keep it too. Sweet shot.

Sandi - Mardi Gras! Many years ago, while in college, I was in the band that was the lead for the Rex Parade on Fat Tuesday. That was a trip! Excellent photography - angle, lighting, detail, with a touch of post-photo glow.

So cool and love the way the face is painted and the delicate feathers on the head, now that's some necklace. OK, how many does she really have girlfriend?

A wonderful photo of this wonderful mask Sandi - she looks a real character.
We have a well known mask maker living locally and I feel looking at this as I do looking at some of hers - not quite sure if it scares or delights me :)

Good choice leaving them on the wall. Otherwise you would have to find something to do with all those hooks and hangers left stuck in the plaster.
Good details, clarity and colours in the photo, Sandi.
