My goodness, this feels somewhat chilly. Running to fetch another cup of coffee! :) Moody yet beautiful composition. Or maybe all the more charming for its moodiness... SAM & SAAB *contact requested*
That must be frozen solid now, and have lots of ice skaters and fisherman on there. Along with that gorgeous cloud filled sky, the lake looks fantastic. Just a great looking shot, Sandi.
Nature throws many different scenes our way Tigz, and although we don't like all of them, we can generally find the beauty. Thus is the case with this one.
One advantage of this chill Tigz is that you could have turned off your fridge freezer and kept all your perishables in the backyard. (o: I take it you never went for a walk on the ice ;o) Good lighting and colour on this image, thanks for sharing.
Very fascinating photography you look at this scene and think could you walk across and a very scary scene to and you can almost feel the biting wind ,Love the colours tones in this photo and and the stunning looking sky,
The vapor (because of the difference in temperature) comes almost from my screen Sandi, lol. Your 'suffering from the cold', in order to provide us with this this wonderful but ice and ice cold image, is very much appreciated.

Tigs, this is a wonderful winter scene - nicely composed with dramatic clouds and blue sky!!! Hopefully the weather will improve - not in my area though, we are suppoed to get 6" of snow beginning late tonight into tomorrow ugh!!!
Me too. Seems like the cold and ice and snow are just here all the time now. I am ready for spring and the beautiful photos it brings Sandi. This is a lovely scene though with the wonderful blues and dramatic sky.
Having recently come in from the cold, desperately seeking warmth and this is what greets me?!...LOL...great winter shot SAS, not unlike my area near Lake Ontario.
Well I'm totally frozen today as we have whipping very cold winds and I had to be out on the terrace sweeping up the mess my birds that feed everyday leave - so your picture looks as cold as I feel! wonderful capture in all shades of blue Sandi.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
My goodness, now that does look really cold. Wonderful depth and colours, that is a beautiful sky and love the snow on the shoreline & the slushy looking icy waters
