The leaves look familiar but I also have no idea what it is. It is a beautiful deep colour and you have photographed it to advantage against the straw. Happy Friday my friend :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Since our SEAS does not know, this must a man-in-the-moon-marigold because it has the longest name in English I can repeat! LOL Fine contribution, too, dear agent. SAM & SAAB
Sandi, the little individual flowers look a lot like Orange Butterfly Weed but I've never seen one this dark. Orange butterfly (although called a weed) is one of the most beautiful flowers that bloom here in the south and butterflies and hummingbirds love them. This is very pretty - I like the background You've used.
The Bokeh is kinda overpowering Tigz. I think you could crop some from the right side and top. It would take the attention from the bokeh to the flower. Just a Missourians humble opinion.
I have no idea what it is but perhaps some of the others are right...I tend to agree with Tick's suggestion but otherwise find it a very lovely, unique, and colorful post for FF.
Have no idea what it is Sandi. It has caused me to search all over to find out and still couldn't find out. Well it was a fun search looking at all those flowers. Thanks Sandi. Beautiful image.
I'm legally obligated to never reveal the names of any plants. Nice focus and clarity in the photo, Sandi. Great colours in the image. I might have cropped the photo in tighter on the bloom and perhaps angled the plant more in the frame.
