This lovely feline is called a Savannah. Here is some info on this breed.
.Savannah cats are man-made products, the result of cross-breeding a domestic cat with an African serval. Some call this hybrid a "designer breed". Private ownership of Savannah cats, and other hybrid breeds, may be subject to local or state laws due to the possibility of their wildcat instincts posing a threat to the public. The wild trait gene is more pronounced in the first set of breeding.
The first litter of cats produced from a cross-breeding is referred to as an F1 litter. Subsequent litters are known as F2, F3, and so on. Offspring of the first pairing (F1) are 50% domestic and 50% wildcat. An F2 generation can be 25-35% wildcat, like Hoss pictured above.
Hoss is taller than the average house cat, has longer legs, and seemed to be enjoying the sun that was out that day. This was taken the canon 40D and canon 70-200mm f4/L lens, fstop 4.0, aimed through fencing.
