I went back to the calendar gardens, and tried higher f/stops with the new lens. This is the result of that attempt.

Tv(Shutter Speed) 1/160Sec. Av(Aperture Value) F14, manual focus.

If you click here you can see the difference it makes.

I appreciate your comments, and I hope you all have a nice Sunday.

Well done, Sandi. Amazing details on the rust and climbing vine.

Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")

Yes - a big difference Sandi - crisper, better color depth and texture.

Sharp details everywhere especially on the rusty iron parts. With the smaller aperture (higher value) more background can be seen here. I prefer the previous one Sandi. (I take flowers mostly with something like f5.6 and Aperture mode to get a good bokeh.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

This is proof why photography is considered an art, you have captured extreme beauty where others could see only a flower, this is a beautiful shot, well done

From a composition viewpoint, that could only be spotted by someone with a true artists eye. Very nice.

More detail is seen because more comes in to focus with higher f-stops Sandi. That is a good experiment. The trade off with the aperture is the shutter speed gets slower or the ISO may have to be increased or both depending on the light available.

Life's moments are sweet. I just want to capture all that I can of them.

The colors of this are very pretty, Sandi - I love the rusty piping that the flower stem is winding around.

Life flourishes in decay. The thing made by men don't last but the things made by God continue to grow and replenish the earth. Lovely shot.

Eye catching colour - the contrast between the orange, the green and the dramatic rust is amazing. The focus and composition is top notch.

Brilliant shot and such fantastic detail and colour, I love the way the one vines has wrapped itself around the leg, the rusty chair or table really makes a magnificent setting to show off your beauties
