Yesterday I was trying the different lens that I bought with the Nikon D750.
Those clouds caught my eye, so headed over to center lake for some shots.
I used the 24-70 2.8 lens for this one. ISO 400, focal length 24, WB auto..
I do have more black pine images, but thought I would give you a break. :)

Again a beautiful result with this camera, Sandi.
In the days when one had to put a roll of film in the camera, experimenting was limited. But in this time, taking one or more captures of the same subject is no longer a problem.
Therefore is my suggestion to take an image of the same subject with the WB on cloudy too, in order to compare the result with a similar capture taken in the auto WB setting.
I myself have good experiences with it.
My WB setting is therefore almost put on 'cloudy' even when the sun shines.
Give it a try, my friend. I'm curious, lol.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Wow this is one breath taking photo the colours are amazing and what a stunning looking sky as well.Plus not to forget after steering so long lovely reflections over the water as well.
