I spotted this recently at the homestead garden, which is part of Defries, used the new Nikon for this one.

I thought this might be good for whacky Wednesday.

I received a message from Pat (skates) icedancer. She is dealing with her 17 year old Siamese cat's poor health, and of course is very upset at the probable outcome. For those of us who have loved, and lost our beloved pets, it is like loosing a family member. My thoughts go out to her.

Thank you for your comments on this kind of crazy post of mine.

This is a wonderful and well spotted capture Sandi - you have a great eye as we all here know. I also like the wonderful textures. I'll keep Pat in my thoughts as I've been down that road too many times.

---For those of us who have loved, and lost our beloved pets, it is like loosing a family member---

Wise and true words from you Sandi! When I read the words of your narrative between the lines, Pat will be probably confronted soon with the loss of her '4 footed Siamese friend'. My thoughts are with Pat too.

Your capture is a slightly bizarre one (lol). Anyhow a perfect one for Wacky Wednesday. Seen and captured very well, my friend.

You should have waited till the contest theme is finalized Sandi. That is clearly a man with a hat on at the top here. Very nice find and capture!

I like how you are "branching" out with your shots Tigz.
Sweet textures.

Sorry about Skates' cat.

That's some major texture on this tree and the shrooms add scale very nicely , well done.

Nice one: unexpected combination of soft curves and sharp edges of the bark. And of course - looks awesome.

A good close up on the tree bark, Sandi. Nice details and textures in the photo.
