Here is another one from New Years weekend. Edited with the One1 Photo Raw 2017 software.

I did try to make the hike to the very top, but thought better of it, that path you see on the right and then curves to the left has no place to hang onto, and has loose rocks, I decided not to take the chance, and turned around.

Below is some information about this pull off.

The site, located on the southern bank of the Wabash River near the town of Lagro, contains an impressive natural exposure of fossilized coral reef dating from the Silurian Period some 400 million years ago. The limestone reef deposit rises 75 feet (23 m) above the river and is being undercut by it, giving the site its "hanging" appearance.

There is also an Indian legend that two Warriors fought a battle at the top of the rock for the hand of an Indian maiden. The warrior she was in love with lost the battle falling to his death. The Indian maiden then jumped to her death, at the loss of the one she loved.

Thank you in advance for your comments.

Reminds me of a bear overlooking the situation, we have one similar here and that is my name for the rock. Really nice capture and vantage point.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Very interesting story! We have no rocks here in Florida due to the fact that there never was any volcanic activity here. The peninsula was formed as a shallow coral reef and over thousands of years, sediment was deposited along the reef and as ocean levels fluctuated, more land became exposed. If you go out in the woods, instead of rocks and stones you'll find sea shells and shark's teeth. Note: What I said was true, but not common. Most of the soil in the upland area's is sandy

Spectacular shot and I'd love to climb that trail. The hangover looks like a beavers face even with ears, eyes and mouth. That's my imagination going wild. Beautiful capture and rich colours
