My Foofy Friday Post. I apprecaite your comments, thank you.

I will now tell you that I should have been a bit more up front about this thingy . I should have mentioned that it;s something that is normally not found at a garden. The answer is a boat oar mount. There is a aging boat that sits back of the fencing to the main garden.

I enjoyed reading your guesses, thanks for trying.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Looks like spring time is arriving in Indiana, Tigs. Bulbs are popping up though the dead undergrowth. An interesting shot that reminds me of the Midwest. Well done.

Nice shot, Sandi.

Like the DOF you employed.

Composition is good good. The colours, in particular that of the plant against the floor of the garden, are quite striking.

The varying textures within frame are an added bonus.

All works well.

+favs for me.

And.. but, of course.. thank you for sharing this one with us.

Some yellow crocus appearing soon I see - I agree with all that Les said and point out the wonderful details on all in the frame.

Excellent composition, Sandi. The story of early spring is told well here.

Sandi, your picture reminds me of my dear late wife. She was so fond of her garden that I ever said to her: "In the spring it seems that you can appear the crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths, etc. out of the soil by permanently looking them in their initial stage." I didn't got an answer, but her smile told me even more than the contents of a book.

Thanks for this very fine one, my friend!!!!

Thank you for the solution to your 'thingy' poser SDandi. That would be a great subject for a conbtest - guess the thingy!

I love this photo full of the proimise of Spring growing froim beneath the old autumn leaves. A simple capture that conveys a lot, on many levels :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

That bright green does strike the eye especially against that background of dry leaves.
