There was a story in our local paper today about the amount of trash in some parts of our local river. When at Lettuce Lake, when you find the occasional piece of litter, sometimes raccoons and squirrels will rumage through the trash bins and drag trash out which ends up in the swamp. But yes, people are the problem as well.
Sandi, a lot of people don't realize that the earth is not theirs, but only are tolerated temporarily here. More respect across our creator should be in place. But I fear that even your intriguing picture will not wake them. Thanks anyway to give it a try, my friend.

A timely reminder Sandi. There has been an upsurge of complaints about freedom campers in this country leaving their garbage behind. No respect for the land or for other people. I have to say the can has developed an interesting and colourful pattern though
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Textures and light here make this for an interesting and original capture. It is truly sad that nature is taken for granted, if they only understood how terribly easy it is to be responsible, it's not a lot of work. Their mindset is warped.
